Takahiro Suto

Takahiro was born and raised in Gunma, Japan. He completed his B.S. (2014), M.S. (2016) and Ph.D. (2019) at Keio University, working with Prof. Noritaka Chida and Prof. Takaaki Sato on the total synthesis of madangamine alkaloids and the development of synthetic methodologies using boron reagents. From 2019, he started his career as a medicinal chemist at Shionogi Co. & Ltd., a pharmaceutical company in Osaka, Japan. In April of 2024, he joined the Hartwig group to study catalytic C–H borylation and functionalization reactions. His interests outside of lab include listening/playing music, playing/watching basketball and reading manga.
