Jeremy was born in 1997 and grew up in Baytown, Texas. He earned his B.S. in chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin. At UT he conducted research in Prof. Michael Krische’s lab, utilizing the group’s allylation chemistry for the efficient total synthesis of natural products. In 2020, Jeremy made the move to Berkeley mid-pandemic to pursue his curiosity for fundamental, methodology-based research and found a great fit with the Hartwig lab. He is currently working mainly on the multicatalytic hydroaminomethylation of olefins. While not mixing chemicals together, Jeremy enjoys reading, listening to music, playing the drums, cooking, and watching Netflix.
