Tommaso was born in Genoa (Italy), where he attended his bachelor's degree in chemistry and chemical technologies. Afterward, he moved to Bologna to pursue his master's degree in Organic Chemistry. In 2019 he started his Ph.D. at the University of Bologna in the P4i lab with professor Walter Cabri and Alessandra Tolomelli. He is working on cross-coupling reactions and late-stage functionalization of biological compounds. In 2022, he moved to Berkeley to join the Hartwig group to work on Iridium catalysis. Tommaso enjoys surfing, playing guitar, and watching movies outside the lab.
